The D-9 is a tall upholstered cat tree for large cats, combining two long scratching surfaces with a spacious platform and three varied resting areas. The construction is 160 cm high and includes a round hideout, a rosette-style bed with a raised edge and a single hammock.

Two 100 cm posts provide the cat with long, uninterrupted surfaces wrapped in sisal rope. They allow the animal to reach high with its front paws, stretch its entire body and scratch in a natural position. Two separate posts of this length make the scratching surfaces accessible from different sides of the construction.

The remaining posts measure 50 and 30 cm. All scratching posts have a diameter of 14 cm. The shorter components connect the individual levels and provide additional scratching surfaces as the cat climbs and moves between the platform, hideout, hammock and upper bed.

The 40 × 65 cm platform creates a spacious intermediate level. The cat can stand, turn around or rest comfortably on it and use it to reach the elements positioned higher in the construction.

The round hideout, measuring 45 cm in diameter, provides a more sheltered place for sleeping and undisturbed rest. Its elevated position allows the cat to use the enclosed space above floor level and observe the surroundings through the entrance.

The single hammock is mounted on a wooden frame made from hardwood plywood. Its soft cover creates a gently enclosing place to lie and can be removed for washing without dismantling the entire cat tree. This makes it easier to remove fur regularly and keep the resting area clean.

A rosette-style bed measuring 45 cm in diameter is located at the highest level. The round bed with a raised edge provides an open resting place and an observation point. Its edge supports the cat’s body and provides a comfortable place to rest the head.

The platform, hideout, hammock and upper round bed provide several independent areas. The D-9 can therefore also be a suitable option for homes in which more than one cat shares the same cat tree, particularly when the animals prefer different heights and types of resting place.

The 65 × 65 cm base is made from layered plywood. The complete construction weighs approximately 60 kg. The square base and substantial overall weight are particularly relevant in a model equipped with two 100 cm posts and resting areas arranged at several levels.

The upholstered D-9 can be adapted to the interior by selecting the type and colour of the upholstery material and the colour of the rope. The construction provides a large cat with space for scratching, stretching, climbing, resting and observing its surroundings.
