Floor-to-Ceiling Maine Coon Cat Tree EX-S-MAX-2

The EX-S-MAX-2 floor-to-ceiling Maine Coon cat tree is an extensive tension-mounted structure combining a vertical floor-to-ceiling design with the enlarged components of the MAX range. It features substantial 18 cm diameter scratching posts, two full-sized single hammocks and a double hammock providing two additional resting levels. The complete structure is stabilised between the floor and ceiling by a robust M12 tensioning system.

• Ceiling tension mechanism with M12 screw and upper pressure plate.
• 2 single hammocks: frame 62 × 72 cm each, actual resting area approximately 55 × 62 cm each.
• 1 double hammock: frame 70 × 70 cm, resting area approximately 45 × 65 cm, two levels.
• 4 main resting places in total.
• Removable covers, washable at up to 40°C.
• A separate set of three replacement covers is available.
• Material, wood colour, rope colour, base, underside finish and engraving: according to available configuration options.

The hammocks extend beyond the base; leave more than 60 × 60 cm for jumping, turning and safe access. The open design has no enclosed house or tube.

Allow covers to dry completely before refitting and attach them correctly to the frame. Check the fabric, zips and heavily loaded areas periodically.

Individual covers, posts and frames can be replaced without replacing the entire structure. Check rope, covers, connections and tension to identify wear.

Consider the cat’s size, weight, age, mobility and climbing habits, the number of cats and the floor and ceiling at the installation point.

Measuring and support surfaces

Measure the vertical distance from the finished floor to the ceiling precisely at the intended position; do not rely only on building plans. Check nearby points for unevenness. Incorrect measurements may prevent proper installation or tension adjustment.

The upper plate must rest against a flat, stable, sufficiently strong ceiling. Check suitability before using suspended ceilings, lightweight boards, tiles or decorative panels. A thin covering is not automatically a suitable support; another mounting point or surface preparation may be needed.

The base must rest evenly on a flat, stable floor without tilting or rocking. Thick soft carpets, unstable coverings, uneven tiles or flexible floors may affect alignment and tension.

Assembly and periodic checks

After assembly, check vertical alignment, even contact of the base, tightness of connections and correct M12 tension.

Recheck after the first days of intensive use. Check periodically thereafter, and after moving the structure, changing flooring, renovation or any loosening.

With several Maine Coons, check all connections and tension particularly regularly because loads may act at different heights at the same time.
