The EX-MAX-0A cat tree for Maine Coons is a compact yet exceptionally substantial model from the specialist EX-MAX range. Despite its simple form, it is not a lightweight standard scratching post, but a robust structure with a wide base, an Ø18 cm scratching column and an enlarged rosette-style bed.

The 60 × 60 cm base provides stable support for the entire structure. The post and upper bed are positioned centrally, keeping the cat's weight close to the centre of the base. Without large elements extending far to either side, the construction limits excessive leverage when the cat jumps onto or uses the upper bed.

The central feature is the extra-thick scratching post with a diameter of 18 cm. Its dimensions have been selected for large cat breeds and provide considerably more usable scratching surface than the narrow posts commonly found in standard cat furniture. The 100 cm post creates a total height of around 120 cm, while the highest version with a 120 cm post reaches approximately 140 cm. For the largest and longest Maine Coons, the 120 cm version will usually be the most functional, allowing full-body stretching with the front paws extended high above the floor.

At the top is a large rosette-style bed with an internal diameter of 50 cm. This measurement describes the actual space available inside the bed rather than only its external dimensions. The enlarged bed has been designed to provide enough room for a large Maine Coon to rest comfortably and observe its surroundings from an elevated position.

The rosette shape creates a more supportive and enclosed resting position than a completely flat platform. At the same time, the bed remains open, allowing a large cat to enter easily, turn around and choose a comfortable sleeping position without the restrictions of a small enclosed house.

EX-MAX-0A is a practical solution for owners looking for a stable cat tree for a large Maine Coon without requiring a large multi-level construction. It occupies a 60 × 60 cm area of floor space while still providing an appropriately thick scratching post, a generous scratching surface and a full-size resting bed.

The model can serve as the main scratching and resting place for one large cat or as an additional station in a multi-cat household.
